Introduction
Hi there! My name is Etsuko Watanabe. I was born in Osaka and currently live in Tokyo. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of language to connect people across cultures. After studying both English and Japanese education, I now enjoy teaching Japanese to learners from all around the world.
I love creating educational videos and interactive lessons that make learning fun and easy to understand.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing Futsal, doing Pilates, and watching dramas, movies, and YouTube.
Although I take teaching seriously, I’m very easygoing and approachable. So don’t worry—you can relax and enjoy learning with me. I look forward to meeting you in class!

Experience
I started teaching Japanese online in November 2021. Since then, I have taught learners from beginner level up to JLPT N2. My experience includes creating hiragana learning videos, supporting students with exam preparation, and tailoring lessons to different learning styles.
Because I’ve taken multiple language and certification exams myself, I understand the challenges of test-taking and can provide empathetic and practical guidance. My teaching philosophy is to create an environment where learners feel motivated to express themselves, which naturally leads to the desire to understand and listen. To achieve this, I always focus on designing personalized lessons.
